Name: Short
Par: 3
Championship Tee: 183 yards
Medal Tee: 167 yards
Colin Says: The hardest par 3 on the course in my opinion, it requires more finesse than the 16th. OOB waits five yards left and the green slopes off in that direction. The wind is generally hard off the left so you have to start the ball over the OOB and let it drift back. If you miss the putting surface it's a tough up and down from all sides. Take a 3 and run.
Fergus Says: Club selection is important here. You've got to play over a sea of gorse and a hollow before the green. It's very easy to leave yourself short. At the Open there'll be a great stand here and it will be the perfect place to see some good iron shots and a demonstration of excellent short-game skills.
