Hole-by-Hole Guide - Hole 13

Monday 31st March 2008

Azalea
Par 5
510 yards
2007 average score: 4.846
3rd easiest hole in 2007

The last hole in “Amen Corner” gets its name from around 1,600 azaleas from tee to green. The 13th is the first of two ultimate risk, reward holes.

Any player hitting a driver off the tee will need to move the ball right to left through the air to hold the fairway and get a view of the green. From here it's a fairway wood or long iron to a small target guarded again by Rae's Creek. The enormous pine trees help cheers resonate around the course. The atmosphere down here is electric.
