Warm up effectively
Any pre-round practice session should start at the green and finish on the range. European Tour professional Simon Khan always begins by hitting a few straightforward chip shots to get a feel for the pace of the greens. Having hit about 20 chips he then makes his way to the range to warm up his swing, working his way through the bag. By practising this way round you will know what to expect on the greens but also be ready for a powerful, athletic movement when you step onto the 1st tee.
