How tension robs you of distance

Stop tension creeping into your swing

A common fault among amateurs is to stand over the ball for too long before starting the swing.

As you think about various movements, tension soon starts to build.

This leads to a rigid, jerky swing that lacks fluidity and athleticism.

To make a fluid swing your forearms need to be relaxed before you take the club back.

This is why many pros waggle the club at address.

Try this for yourself and you'll notice that any tension that has built up in your hands and arms will quickly fade away.
