If you are prone to hanging back on your right side through impact you'll hit plenty of fat shots with your irons. This is a fault that needs to be addressed to ensure that you strike the ball crisply before taking a divot.
Place a tee peg in the ground an inch in front of your ball as shown. Take your normal address position but as you start swinging focus on the tee and not the ball. Concentrate only on hitting the tee and you'll find that you'll start striking the ball sweetly. This drill will help you to trust the loft of the club to get the ball airborne and prevent you from leaning back through impact.
