With a max sized head and deep face this looks like an imposing weapon. It's all black and sitting behind the ball the AS460 inspires a good deal of confidence. Makser reverts to an all-titanium head and an increase in head size to 460cc, this allows the Airflow Stabiliser to be even more efficient at keeping the head stable and increasing clubhead speed.
GM VERDICT
Internal weighting promotes a right to left ball flight and optimum launch. Distance isn't the AS460's strong point but it does produce consistently solid ball striking. The clubhead is relatively heavy and forgiveness is not so great on off centre strikes. But the feel is good and, at the price, the Makser is an option worth considering.
