The Tour Deep's performance benefits stem from its soft urethane cover, which Hogan claims to be the thinnest in golf. The former is said to generate extra distance; the latter has six unique deep dimples to improve aerodynamics; and both ensure plenty of feel near the green.

GM VERDICT
This ball undobtedly proved one of the softest-feeling on and around the greens yet didn't scuff up anywhere near as much as Hogan's previous buttery-soft tour balls. Quite long too although we did feel that distance was a little down into the wind compared with some.
